our story
In 2021, our founder Vaishnavi, moved to NYC for her post grad job and started hosting friends, friends of friends, and coworkers as a way to combat her loneliness moving to a big city right after graduation.

Started as a creative outlet to bring people together over the love of food, Vaishnavi spent 2 years hosting 200+ people. Inspired by her trip to India, Vaishnavi brought her roots to these hangouts. khaa-lo grew between NYC and Boston with 10 ambassadors hosting IRL events.

"khaa lo" in Hindi means "eat it", a phrase inspired by something our founder's mom says in a range of emotions to Vaishnavi and her brother.

Rooted in fostering deep relationships over the love of food, khaa-lo's pillars are all about building community, supporting local/small businesses, and finding our third places.

By the third event hosted, khaa-lo hangouts were getting sponsorships for product placement and through several collaborations, we learnt the pain points faced by indie CPG and small creators.

There is no seamless way that addresses building authentic connections, content, and community. Hence, why we built
khaa-lo.

A platform to bring together seamless collaborations between indie CPG brands, small creators, everyday people, and third places!

So come let's have the food you love with the people you love and join khaa-lo!
